The historic town of Třeboň is located in a typical picturesque landscape in the South Bohemian Region. For its large variety of water sources it is called ‘the town of ponds’ and ‘the region of mirrors’. Třeboň and its surroundings form a Biosphere Reserve under the auspices of The Man and the Biosphere Programme of UNESCO. The historic city centre, Renaissance chateau, Brewery Regent, vast parks and a well-known fishpond called Svět altogether form an outstanding atmosphere. The town of Třeboň is well known for its long-lasting tradition of fishpond cultivation heritage and therefore you can enjoy some fish delicacies made from excellent carps in local restaurants.

Český Krumlov: It is the most memorable historic town in the South Bohemian Region. The gem of the buildings is a unique Baroque court theatre with original stage machinery, scenery and props. In Český Krumlov there is also an international museum dedicated to the painter Egon Schiele.
Jindřichův Hradec: The historic centre with a Renaissance city castle and palace complex where many concerts of classical music take place. The most well-known item – the Czech largest mechanical Christmas manger scene - can be found in the district museum.
Hluboká nad Vltavou: The town is best known for its famous Windsor style chateau with valuable artistic and historic collections.
České Budějovice: The metropolis of the South Bohemian Region was founded by Přemysl Otakar II as one of the royal towns.
